Magne Lite lamp by Goffredo Reggiani for Reggiani Lamps, 1960s. From an ingenious idea of Reggiani's comes this lamp that can serve both as an abat-jour and a wall light. Its spherical structure magnetically anchored to the base makes it very flexible and adjustable in direction almost to 365 degrees. The base can be rested on a table or mounted on a wall. The magnetic attachment was so innovative when designed in the 1960s that it was registered as a patent. A fine example of the Space Age style, with a satin chromed steel outside finish and a white-colored steel inside, it is an iconic example of Italian design of the era. The lamp has been carefully restored to restore the shine to the chrome; however, it shows signs of time that make it unique, particularly in the white lacquer interior. The electrical cable has been replaced.
