Item description
Alabaster sculpture depicting the bust of noblewoman made in Florence in the 19th century. Signed " E. Battiglia". The artist depicts the lady as a refined woman who adopts the "Greek taste" in her clothing - simple dresses of semi - transparent muslin-clothing that played no small part in the spread of the taste for antiquity, later known as the Empire style. In this most exquisite alabaster object, the noblewoman is depicted as she shyly lowers her gaze; a faint smile hovers on her lips, and her wavy hair is held back by a sash in a high hairstyle. The work is of great value and quality. The care and precision of the details, the fineness of the face, the robes are of the highest quality. Work complete with certificate of authenticity. We are at your disposal for further clarification or photographic details. Shipping throughout Italy, Europe and the Rest of the World in maximum security and traceable. Shipping will be arranged privately.
