Item description

Louis XIII style fireplace plate made in the early 19th century. In the centre is the 'Spring' (Flora) holding a bunch of flowers, to her left a vase and to her right Neptune, god of the sea. The whole is surmounted by a pair of tritons converging on a shell. The plate has a crack from the bottom towards the centre (see photo), which, however, does not affect its integrity and possible use. The weight is about 30 kg.
