Item description
Vase and ashtray by Roberto Rigon for Bertoncello Ceramiche d'Arte, early 1970s. Made of ultramarine blue glazed ceramic. Condition is excellent, showing no defects. Still present is the label on the vase. The company was founded in 1956 in Ischia by partners Lini, Pizzato and Bertoncello under the name “LPB”; soon it changed its name to “Bertoncello Ceramiche d'Arte” with the exclusive management of Giovanni Bertoncello, who, thanks to his great artistic and entrepreneurial skills, brought his ceramics to success both in Italy and abroad. Modern-type production consists of ceramics with organic shapes, decorated with often monochrome glazes in shades of ochre and beige, or decorated with drippings of bright colors such as green, orange and blue. The firm closed in 1999. The vase is 23 cm high, 18 cm wide and 7 cm deep. The ashtray is 10 cm high, 19 cm wide and deep.
