«We are interested in what has been forgotten. A fundamental mode of action especially in a historical moment like the present one, where the lack of memory and attention undermines the construction of our future», explain Ginevra Pucci and Stefania Poddighe, curators of Flashback. Art is all contemporary, the Turin fair dedicated to the mix of ancient and contemporary art which, from 4 to 7 November animates the spaces of its new headquarters, the Dogali Barracks at 22 via Asti.

From 900 AD — the oldest work presented at Flashback is a Chinese sculpture dating back to the Tang dynasty (618 to 907 AD), presented by the Schreiber Collezioni gallery — up to contemporary art, the leitmotif of the event is the rediscovery of significant but long neglected works and objects from the past.

Brought back to light by the 30 exhibiting galleries, Flashback's objects and works of art are at the center of a format that also leaves room for the new Flashback special project, exhibition, lab, sound, storytelling, talk, video, food & drink sections. Underlining the mix of disciplines proposed by the curators is also the monographic exhibition of Tuscan artist based in Paris, Enrico Bertelli, author of the vintage photography chosen as the guide for this edition of the fair. This image too, explains the artist, is part of a project from the past that was initially "discarded", but which finds new strength and a way of expressing itself in its new context.
