The magic of Palazzo Strozzi has inspired artists and curators from the Renaissance to the present day. In this interview, the Director General of the Fondazione Palazzo Strozzi, Arturo Galansino, opens the doors of the Palazzo to reveal some little-known elements of its interiors and exteriors

Built according to the canons of the golden rule, Palazzo Strozzi marks the great return of Filippo Strozzi (1428-1491) to Florence after his exile in Naples. But the history of the Palazzo is much more than that and is hidden in the decorative elements inside and outside the palace. These features often take a back seat during the great exhibitions opsitate by the Foundation, but are worth revisiting.

"Today we think of this space as pure 15th century architecture..." Galnsino tells us "...but in reality the structure has undergone many restorations and, to tell the truth, the palace was never completed."

An interview that will make you see this place with new and more informed eyes.
