Item description

This unique lounge chair was designed in 1953 by John Risley for Ficks Reed. A combination of braiding and weaving techniques were used to create the rattan 'basket,' which is anchored at both top and bottom by carved bamboo rails. This basket seat is supported by a painted iron frame. with original protective vinyl cushion. In very well preserved original condition, structurally sound. Dimensions: 80 cm H x 100 cm W x 143 cm D.
