An icon of interwar functionalist design, this adjustable lounge chair—model H 70—was conceived by renowned Czech designer Jindřich Halabala in the 1930s and produced by UP Závody. The frame, composed of bent beech wood, demonstrates a masterful command of form and function: its sweeping curves and cantilevered base showcase the influence of Bauhaus design, while retaining a uniquely Czech sensibility.
