Item description

Polychrome wooden sculpture, depicting the reclining Madonna, also known as the Virgin of the Nativity. Mary is reclining, her right hand supporting her head, while her left is stretched out and rests on her hip. She is dressed in a long tunic and a red cloak on the outside and blue on the inside, which completely wraps her legs. The head is veiled; a thoughtful expression on the face with fine and delicate features.
