Vintage coffee table, Italy, 1950s. Made entirely of brass with transparent glass top. The elegant and refined design is characterized by the sculpted structure in brass tubular with decorative details in the shape of a heron. Aironi, symbols of grace and balance, support the glass top creating a light and sophisticated suspension effect. The table also features a central shelf with decorative ring elements, perfect as a door -to -door or for small objects. The sinuous forms and the reference to nature are typical of the Italian decorative design of the mid -century, between Art Deco and Modernism. The table is often attributed to the taste and influence of designers such as Maison Jansen or Italian related studies from the 1950s that combined the metal worked for animal and natural motifs, albeit not signed. It is attributable to high quality productions in Hollywood Regency style, highly appreciated in contemporary era. Excellent conditions vintage conditions.
