Item description

Original set consisting of six Hammer chairs (model3103) designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955 and manufactured by Friz Hansen. Also known as "T-chair" have the black metal tubular frame and teak wood seat. Underneath is the Fritz Hansen mark dated 1973. Jacobsen's creations, still highly sought after today, represent excellence in Danish design, thanks to their combination of essential lines, fine materials and formal innovation Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) was a celebrated Danish architect and designer. Born in Copenhagen in 1902, he studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Arts in Copenhagen, graduating in 1927. Known for his contributions to architectural functionalism and iconic furniture creations. Among his most appreciated works are the designer chairs that revolutionized the modern furniture industry.
