Item description

Set of six "MR10" model chairs designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and produced by Thonet in the 1960s. Its structure is in chromed tubular steel, the sessions are in rattan or called the straw of Vienna. As can be seen in the photos three sessions are to be restored. They are original and have the label under the session. Designed by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe are produced by Thon- Mr10 is one of the most iconic design chairs of all time, designed for the first time in 1927 and exhibited at the Die Wohnung exhibition in Stuttgart. The public was amazed for two reasons: the use of chromed tubular steel and lightness, all supported only by the front legs. The steel finish contrasts with the seat and the backrest in straw, creating a chair with essential lines. Ludwig Mies van der Rohe (1886-1969) was a naturalized German architect. Its straight forms, made with elegant simplicity, made it one of the most important and influential architects of the twentieth century. Measurements: 75x48x81 cm - Setting height: 44 cm
