Empire style crystal 12-light chandelier, 1950s
Item description
Large Empire style crystal chandelier, with 12 lights (8 external and 4 internal), with brass structure decorated with delicate engraved floral motifs. The upper part is composed of rows of cut octagonal crystals. At the centre, a brass crown supports eight curved arms, each with a lamp holder finished with teardrop cut crystal pendants. The peculiarity of this chandelier are the long crystal arrows at the bottom (tall and rare, crystal height: 13 centimeters); when the chandelier is lit it is very bright, but when it is hit by the sun's rays it develops a shower of sparks with rainbow colors that spread into the room. Made of brass, 1950s period. Dimensions: Diameter 80 cm (31.50 inches), Height 100 cm (39.40 inches), Height including chain 130 cm (51.18 inches), adjustable.
