Elegant pair of applique produced by Bartovier & Toso in the 1960s, made of Murano grit glass with metal frame. The sinuous shape of the speakers, hand curved, creates a pleasant game of light and shadow once on, enhancing the material texture of the surface. The opal glass, slightly amber, is characterized by thin microbolle and a delicate craquelre that highlights the craftsmanship of the processing. The burnished stop screws add a sober but refined detail.
The lamp holders report the original label of the manufacturer. The appliques are in overall aesthetic conditions good, with normal signs of time and light oxidations on the metal parts. They are to be revised electrically before use, as a plant and wiring have not been tested.
