This Bauhaus style bedside table was produced by Kovona (originally Slezákovy Závody) in Czechoslovakia, probably in the 1950s. The design reflects the principles of modernism thanks to the combination of a bent chromed tubular structure and a veneered oak furniture.
The piece features a chromed upper shelf, a storage compartment with zipper and an elegant round metal handle. The chromed elements retain their original polishing, while the wood has a warm and aged patina. Overall, the furniture presents itself in well preserved vintage conditions, with only slight signs of wear due to age and use.
