Description: Antique Louis XIV Neapolitan chest of drawers in walnut root with bois de rose reserves.
The surface entirely in walnut briar plays on the arrangement of the grain and on the contrast of the chiaroscuro of the different inlays.
The decoration is typical of the Neapolitan eighteenth century with the classic contrasting reserve and the bronze shield on the lock.
The two corners and the top are highlighted by elegant wooden borders placed 'at the head'.
The three-drawer front is accentuated by a beautiful movement that is also repeated on the sides, with the wedge-shaped shoulders, a typical quirk of Neapolitan cabinetmakers of the period.
The two cabriolet feet have the classic cabriolet shape and are connected by a mixtilinear apron.
