Ancient Italian painting from the mid-17th century. Oil on canvas work with a religious theme, Risen Christ, of excellent pictorial quality. Small size painting, for antique dealers and collectors of ancient sacred art. Painting depicting Christ with the cross at the center of the scene and a landscape with small architecture in the background. The blood of the son of God flows from his hand to fall into a golden chalice placed on the ground. Above the cross we find the representation of the Holy Spirit and even further up God manifests himself surrounded by cherubs and a globe in his left hand (see photo). The work has over time been attributed to Giovanni Battista Casone (1609-1681), a Genoese painter who was a pupil of Domenico Fiasella.
