Artifort F591 swivel armchair, designed in 1967 by Geoffrey D. Harcourt
The supporting structure is a fiberglass monocoque that rests on a rotating tulip base. The padding is made of polyurethane foam, covered in original orange-red fabric
The curved profile and center buttons give the F591 a sleek and welcoming look and the seat is extremely comfortable
The piece shows slight signs of time and use, most noticeable on fabric that is discolored in several areas and has some small tears. It can be kept as is or reupholstered, we are at the limit between the two choices. Overall the armchair is still in good vintage condition, stable and perfectly usable
From the Artifort plate below you can read the model F591 and the date of manufacture, which is 1975
