Structure and Carving: The base is entirely made of finely carved and gilded wood. The underfloor band features a "pod frieze" or dentil decoration typical of the period, enriched by elegant garlands of laurel leaves falling in festoons, a symbol of glory and nobility.
Supports: The two "curved and countercurved" front uprights are finely carved with leaf motifs and are connected to the base by a shaped element.
Central Element: At the center of the transept stands a refined neoclassical vase with square handles and an upper flame, a highly valuable decorative detail that gives balance and verticality to the whole.
Floor: The console is completed by its original Carrara white marble top, shaped to follow the broken profile of the structure below.
