This refined vintage floor lamp is a historic piece of Italian design, attributable to Flos production and born from the genius of Tobia Scarpa. Although the example does not bear original labels or brands, the structure and aesthetics are unmistakable: the lamp uses the famous Cocoon technique, a polymer resin sprayed on a steel rod frame which gives the object an organic, tense and vibrant shape.
The sculptural silhouette transforms into a column of soft and suffused light once turned on, enhancing the cloudy texture of the material. The surface shows some signs of aging, such as small blooms and light abrasions on the resin, which do not affect its value but testify to its authenticity and long historical experience. It rests on an essential dark metal base that slims its figure, making it a timeless furnishing element capable of defining the atmosphere of any interior.
