The Domus Nova furniture line, conceived in 1927 by Gio Ponti with Emilio Lancia for the La Rinascente department store, represented a turning point in Italian furniture, offering simpler, more accessible and cheaper pieces than the luxury productions of the time. This collection contributed to the spread of modern design in Italy.
