Table mirror in engraved and painted wood, second half of '800
SILVER Seller in Pisa, Italy
Dated around 1880, it presents the first typical characteristics of the Liberty style. The wooden outer surface is engraved and decorated with three delicate swallows in flight. The mirror is ground and original, in excellent condition. The folding opening is matching and fully functional. The carving refined, the pictorial decoration beautiful and delicate, well preserved. The wooden surface has few light bristles as you can see from the photos. The wood is wax treated and has not undergone any restoration.
