Item description

Wolfgang Alexander Kossuth (born in Pfronten on 07/25/1947 and died on 12/31/2009) was a painter, sculptor, violinist and orchestra conductor and dedicated his entire life to art, combining his passion for music with that for the figurative arts. After his studies he moved to Naples in 1968 where he graduated in violin. He won the international competition as third concertmaster. He played in the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala in Milan from 1970 to 1972 and at the same time studied composition and conducting. In 1975 he made his debut with the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala as director, and in 1979 he abandoned his well-established musical career to dedicate himself to sculpture. His works portray great personalities from the world of music, literature and dance, such as Roberto Bolle. Fascinating character and sculptures that seem alive. MEASUREMENTS Bronze sculpture – Dancer. Lost wax casting, e.g. 33/35 wooden base Fonderia Venturi Arte Bologna. Signature on the base. Authentication on photo. Height 45.5 cm.
