They are a pair of table lamps with a strong decorative, vintage character.
The shape is very particular: both have a profile “double drop” or soft hourglass, with a domed base that narrows in the center and then widens towards the top. This makes them elegant and sculptural, almost as objects of art as well as functional.
The body is made of worked glass, with an opaline and marbled finish in shades of beige, cream and light amber shades. The surface has light wavy grain and internal reflections, which would give a very warm and diffuse effect when lit.
The metal parts (top attachment and base) are made of brass with a slightly satin finish that adds a classic and refined touch. The cable, visible at the base, also recalls a traditional style.
