Important Chinese-inspired cupboard-display, characterised by a double-bodied structure in red and black lacquer and a rich chinoiserie decoration.
The upper part, with glass doors, is surmounted by a distinctive pagoda hat, an architectural element that recalls Eastern tradition. The lower part is embellished with lacquered panels in deep red, on which are applied figurative scenes and landscapes made of carved and hand-painted soapstone.
These elements, applied in relief, create a three-dimensional and narrative effect of great refinement, with figures, architecture and natural motifs rendered with remarkable care.
The dark structure frames the decorative surfaces, creating an elegant color contrast and further enhancing the applications.
