Item description

Makeup dressing table from the Umbertine period dating back to the last twenty years of the 19th century. The turned solid walnut legs are joined by a spool sleeper. The top, in walnut feather, is supported by very decorative embossed and wavy shelves. The table top opens like a lift and hides a make-up compartment and an angle-adjustable mirror inside. Dressing tables like the one proposed in this listing were made on commission and are very rare and difficult to find. The piece of furniture has never been restored and is in conservative conditions, showing some signs of wear as visible in the photos which are an integral part of the description.
