Item description

Elegant Italian table lamp in solid onyx, hand-carved from a single block and dating to the mid-20th century. The sculptural silhouette recalls classical forms, reinterpreted through the refined material sensitivity typical of Italian design of the period. When illuminated, the stone reveals a striking interplay of warm amber, honey, and caramel tones, enhanced by dramatic natural veining and organic inclusions. Each side offers a completely unique pattern, making this a truly one-of-a-kind decorative object. Originating from a private residence in Northern Italy, this piece reflects a timeless appreciation for noble materials and understated luxury, bridging classical inspiration with mid-century aesthetics. The onyx body is structurally sound and free of cracks. Visible variations, veins, and irregularities are inherent to the material and contribute to its character. Minor age-related wear is present on the metal components. The lamp is fitted with its original working wiring and golden cord. A distinctive sculptural presence both lit and unlit.
