The Virgin Mary is placed on the right, tenderly observing the two children. He wears a light red robe covered by a green and brown cloak. His right hand is raised in protective blessing. Baby Jesus is sitting in the centre, on his mother's lap, he turns towards the infant Saint John, holding him tenderly in his arms. Saint John is on the left, characterized by a darker complexion, as he embraces Jesus and returns his gaze. The composition is very classic and typical of this kind of religious representation. The pictorial quality is good, with good mastery of the chiaroscuro between the background and the illuminated figures in the foreground.
