Launched as a true engineering challenge, Uncle Jack set an absolute world record upon its debut: it is the largest piece ever made from a single block of transparent polycarbonate through injection molding. This technological feat required years of research by Kartell to tame the material, concentrating a full 30 kg of weight and 190 cm of length into a single, monumental injection of plastic. The result is a structural work of art with an ethereal, ghostly allure, combining an imposing, dramatic presence with visual lightness. For this historic record, the sofa was awarded the prestigious international Red Dot Design Award: Best of the Best in 2016. Thanks to the exceptional resistance of Kartell's polycarbonate, this piece is perfect for both enhancing cutting-edge indoor spaces (living rooms, lofts, executive offices) and outdoor settings (terraces and gardens). The sofa is in excellent condition, structurally intact, solid, and free of cracks. Being made of glossy polycarbonate, it shows normal surface micro-marks from use. The most visible defect (highlighted in the photo) is a slight localized clouding with more pronounced scratches due to rubbing, which, however, does not detract from its exceptional aesthetic impact. We have replaced all the rubber feet with original Kartell spare parts. The "Kartell Milano" logo is stamped directly onto the frame.
