Charming solid wood bench/sofa, dating back to the mid-20th century. A striking piece of furniture yet compact in size, it's ideal for enhancing an entryway, hallway, or passageway, or for placing at the foot of a bed. The design is distinguished by its openwork backrest, embellished with two splendid classically inspired lyre-shaped elements, and by its sinuous, ergonomic armrests that end in an elegant curl. The structure is completed by a decorative front band and sturdy, slightly tapered square legs. Condition: The piece is in excellent vintage condition. The solid wood frame is absolutely solid, stable, and sound (frame and lower section are perfectly intact). The polish maintains a warm, luminous hue, with small, normal signs of aging on the surface that testify to its age and enhance its authentic character.
