Item description

Artistic plate in polychrome majolica from Deruta, Mari manufacturing. Hand-decorated with a profile of a Renaissance gentleman in the cavetto surrounded by the scroll "Nil recta fide sanctius" "nothing is firmer than the right faith" The richly decorated brim features a Raphaelesque motif. Manufacture mark rendered in brown on the back of the plate. The diamond with the acronym IMA indicates "Istituto Maioliche Artistiche" which certified the quality of the product.
