Description: Ancient Napoleon III sculpture in patinated bronze depicting the allegory of beauty signed "A.NELSON" belonging to the second half of the 19th century. The girl's face is characterized by soft and idealized features typical of the French canons of the second half of the nineteenth century. The eyes are finely engraved and turned towards the left, giving a serene, proud and dreamy expression at the same time. The hair is wavy and partially collected, worked with locks embossed in a plastic and dynamic way that frame the face and fall onto the neck. The young woman wears a curved asymmetrical wide-brimmed hat enriched by a large ribbon tied on the right side. General Conditions: Excellent condition. Provenance: 19th century France.
