"Baia Mode" modular sofa with 5 modules in beige fabric, designed by Antonio Citterio and Paolo Nava for B&B Italia in the 1970s. E’ composed of five independent modules, freely juxtaposed to create a large linear sofa or customized configurations. The soft, enveloping lines perfectly express the design language typical of Italian design in the 1970s. Consisting of three simple seats and two with armrests, each module offers a large and particularly comfortable seat, with an inclined back designed to ensure excellent ergonomic support. The modularity of the system also allows the individual elements to be used as informal armchairs or chaise lounges. The interior structure is made of polyurethane foam, while the original fully removable beige fabric upholstery features the iconic quilting that punctuates the back and seat, emphasizing the comfort and welcoming look of the model. The perimeter profiles highlighted by the seams give further definition to the geometric and soft shapes of the individual elements. The load-bearing body is made of ABS. The original B&B Italia labels are present under each module, confirming the authenticity of the set. Conditions Good general condition, consistent with age and usage.
