This is a multifunctional storage unit of Italian manufacture dating back approximately to the 1960s, made in Modernariato / Mid-Century Modern style.
The structure, essential and geometric, is made of wood veneered with warm tones of walnut or rosewood and rests on thin cylindrical legs in black metal, typical of the design of the period. The piece of furniture is asymmetrically divided into two sections: the left side has an upper open compartment combined with a lower compartment closed by two doors, while the right side integrates a fold-down bar/secretaire compartment with an internal shelf above a four-drawer chest of drawers. The aesthetic is completed by metal and squared handles of modern taste and by fine tailoring details, such as the dovetail joints visible on the drawers and the Italian production quality control stamp.
