Set of modular wardrobes from the CUB8 system designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova, produced in 1974. The lot consists of 4 modular wardrobes with doors, closed and open compartments, adjustable shelves, light profiles, and circular handles, as well as 2 modular wall units from the same series. Also included is a large open modular bookcase with three bays and adjustable shelves (dimensions: W 273 × H 248 × D 31 cm). The wardrobes and wall units are part of the CUB8 system, designed in 1967 by Angelo Mangiarotti for Poltronova. The identification of the CUB8 system was confirmed by Il Ponte auction house after examining the documentation and photographs. The bookcase, purchased at the same time, shares similar stylistic and construction features but cannot be definitively attributed to the same designer or manufacturer. All pieces originate from a single delivery in 1974, documented by the original quote/order dated February 8, 1974. The furniture has remained in the same office since purchase, maintaining its original configuration and characteristics. Good overall condition, with normal signs of use and age consistent with its period. Additional furnishings from the same 1974 collection, including Progress armchairs by Ettore Sottsass Jr. and Hans von Klier for Poltronova, two conference tables, and other accessories, are available separately.
