Designed by Jo Hammerborg for Fog & Mørup in 1963, the Orient is one of the most representative pendant lamps in Danish design. The soft and harmonious silhouette highlights the dialogue between the copper and the teak top detail, resulting in an object that combines construction precision and material warmth.
The inside of the canopy is designed to distribute light evenly downward, making it particularly suitable over a dining table, kitchen island, or countertop. The copper finish gains character over time, developing a patina that makes each example unique.
Even today, Orient is appreciated for its ability to fit naturally into both contemporary interiors and modern spaces. A project that synthesizes with balance the quality of materials and the essentiality of Scandinavian design.
