Historic “Gigia” table lamp, designed by Piero de Longhi and produced in Italy during the 1970s. A distinctive example of Italian vintage design and Made in Italy craftsmanship, the lamp combines a clean geometric silhouette with a striking contrast between its vibrant red structure and warm off-white fabric diffuser.
The lamp features a characteristic cubic shape measuring approximately 30 × 30 cm, with a lightweight metal structure finished in bright red paint. The diffuser is covered in off-white fabric decorated with fine red lines and finished with a raw-cut edge. This original detail enhances the lamp's authentic vintage character and gives it a distinctive, graphic appearance.
Compact and exceptionally lightweight, the Piero de Longhi Gigia lamp can be easily integrated into a variety of interiors. It works beautifully as a bedside lamp, living room table lamp, desk lamp, office light or entrance accent, adding a warm decorative touch without overwhelming the space.
Its bold colour combination and essential geometric form make it particularly suitable for modern, vintage, Mid-Century Modern and Italian design interiors. It can be used both as an ambient light source and as a collectible decorative object for lovers of 1970s Italian design.
The lamp has been used exclusively for display and is in perfect working condition. It retains its original approximately 1-metre cable and original 16A Schuko plug. Suitable for Italian 220V electrical supply.
