Armchair + Pouf - D02 120° is cold tech neo-brutalism. The name refers to the opening between seat and backrest: an angle that pulls the backrest away from verticality and brings the seat toward a more horizontal, chaise-longue posture. It's a precise measurement that determines posture. The structure is a single sheet of iron in an orthogonal-diagonal composition of planes that intersect without concealment. The sheet is treated with a protective coating that preserves its raw materiality without hiding the marks of its working. Armchair and pouf are designed to be used together or separately. Joined, they form the chaise longue. Apart, the pouf becomes a footrest, a standalone seat, or a resting surface. The monocoque logic, rather than a frame, generates the effect of lightness: fewer "legs," more the idea of a plane lifting off the ground. Two ledges integrated into the structure — for a book, a glass, keys — are the piece's only non-structural detail.
