The structure is characterized by a refined chromatic interplay: the sides, top, and contoured base are finished in an elegant lacquered black, accented with gold leaf trim that adds a touch of brightness. The front features three drawers. The narrower top drawer is embellished with a continuous frieze of embossed and gilded brass with plant motifs, complemented by matching knobs. The two lower drawers, without a visible crosspiece to avoid interrupting the design, house a large central cartouche medallion, trimmed with a light blue border. Inside, a splendid inlay (picture) in precious woods depicting a basket overflowing with flowers, executed with extremely precise pictorial shading, stands out. The masterful arrangement of the wood grain creates a geometric herringbone pattern that frames the central scene, while the three original locks with brass keys complete the work, testifying to the high level of conservative restoration that restored the stability of the structure and the brilliance of each individual wood species.
