Holy Water Stoup. The Madonna of Pompeii (formally the Blessed Virgin of the Holy Rosary of Pompeii) is one of the most deeply felt and widespread Marian devotions in the world. The cult is inextricably linked to the figure of Blessed Bartolo Longo, an Apulian lawyer and Dominican tertiary who, in the second half of the 19th century, dedicated his life to the spiritual and material rebirth of the Pompeii Valley. It features three cherub angels on the sides and two doves in relief, all hand-painted. Height: 53 cm, width: 32 cm, depth: 9 cm.
