Item description

Yamada Shomei folding table lamp. Japanese design from the 1970s. This folding table lamp has been sold by several companies worldwide, including Tronconi – Italy. The light turns off when the lamp is closed. These lamps were first produced in the 1960s by Yamada Shomei Lighting Co. LTD, which is still in business. The success of this lamp lies not only in its innovative design, but above all in its versatility. During its 50 years of production, this model has changed its name several times from Bambino to Puff: with the Manon version, model ZM-002, Yamada Shomei received the iF Design Award in 1984. There is a switch on the cord for turning the lamp on and off. Small signs of wear consistent with age.
