Item description

Antique Italian painting from the late 18th century. Oil on canvas depicting a religious subject, the Annunciation, with good pictorial quality. The painting unfolds vertically, with a pleasing use of light and color. The Archangel Gabriel appears and offers white lilies to the praying Virgin Mary, enlightened by the Holy Spirit. The painting has undergone extensive conservative restoration, including relining, replacement of the stretcher, and repainting in several areas (see photo). Painting in good condition with several signs of restoration.
