Item description

Jacques Adnet "Pigeon Blanc" sculpture in Art Deco craquelé terracotta. Jean & Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) & (1900-1995), France 1925 - 1930. Original edition. Creamy white glazed ceramic, Montereau manufactory. Signed "ADNET" under glaze on the front of the base. This sculpture was presented at the 1925 exhibition by "La Maîtrise" at the Galeries Lafayette run by Maurice Dufrene. Ref: reproduced in "Les Craquelés Art Déco" by Alain Hardy and Bruno Giardi - Edizioni Penthesilia - 2009. Page 97. Condition: excellent. Slightly visible chipping on the lower part of the base.
