Item description
Sandalwood sewing box covered in bone and inlaid with semiprecious stones, bone and exotic wood. Rectangular in shape and with an urn-shaped lid, the box has decorative elements with geometric motifs on the lid, sides and edges. The inside of the box is divided into small compartments with bone sewing elements. The inner lining of the lids, the edges, the frame of the mirror is similar to the outer lining with rich inlays of semi-precious stones and bone. The mirror is removable and the secret part underneath is lined with velvet. Box made in India for England.
