Neapolitan Louis XVI bedside table in exotic woods, 18th century
Item description
Two-drawer bedside table with a walnut-root slab structure inlaid with precious woods. The front is marked by two prominent drawers arranged on two tracks, both graphically underlined by two rounds of threading. A beautiful inlaid lozenge frames the metal vents, while a small apron in herringbone finish characterises the lower part. On the sides the lozenge is repeated, obtained by a skilful combination of precious woods on the walnut-root mirroring. Typical truncated pyramid feet ennobled by fillets arranged at the top to emphasise the corners. Condition: Restored by our master craftsmen using the traditional handmade shellac and alcohol method. Provenance: 18th century Naples. Document: Certificate of Authenticity. Assistance: We are at your disposal for further clarifications or photographic details.
