SILVER Seller in Catania, Italy
Italy 1971. An incredible collector's item, one of a kind, a synthesis of the genius of a great designer such as Achille Castiglioni, who created an object that is both simple and fascinating, testimony to a Pop culture that is still current and unsurpassed today. This Mezzadro stool resembles the seat of a tractor. The chrome-plated frame supports the seat, creating a fun, ergonomic and dynamic shape. The frame is in fact a spring-arch steel band that is used in tractors and absorbs shocks from uneven terrain. They have improved the stability of the cantilevered structure with a transverse wooden strut reminiscent of the rungs of a wooden ladder and the boom of a sailing boat. As can be seen from the photos, the stool has slight traces of time on the paintwork, proof that it has come down to us without having undergone any restoration or anything else.
