Pouf model “Dragone”, designed by Luciano Frigerio and produced by Frigerio di Desio in the 1970s, an expression of the highest level of Italian craftsmanship, where the boundary between furniture and sculpture is deliberately surpassed.
The structure is made of solid African padouk wood, a precious essence characterized by a deep red tone and high density and resistance.
The base, geometric and solid, defines a clear architectural volume that contrasts with the softness of the seat.
The upper part consists of a large padded cushion upholstered in black leather, worked with a typical central radial gathering that creates a controlled material tension and a distinctive sculptural effect.
This detail is one of the most recognizable elements of Frigerio’s production.
The result is an object that combines function and sculptural value, conceived not only as a seat but as a statement element within a space.
