Item description
Table by Italian artist Mauro Varotti from the 2000s is inspired by the work of futurist artist Fortunato Depero and his dynamic creations. The simple frame is made of honeycombed wood and fully decorated with a series of fine wood inlays. The sides and base boast mesmerising geometric patterns, while the top is adorned with a collection of paintings. The unique design and beautiful decoration of this piece of furniture is inspired by 20th century art, creating a kaleidoscopic juxtaposition of colours and shapes that will make a difference in a contemporary or eclectic interior. Mauro Varotti is the owner of his eponymous furniture company specialising in marquetry and exquisite inlay work based in Rimini, a historic city along the Adriatic coast. Varotti's enormous passion for his work gives life to his creations, unique objets d'art that take centre stage in any sophisticated home. He founded the art brand Intarsia after meeting antique dealer and jeweller Massimo Giorgi, who owns a gallery in the nearby town of Cattolica.
