Pair of bronze sphinxes from the Napoleon III period, skilfully worked, firmly fixed to a green alabaster base. The sphinxes are of excellent workmanship and are depicted winged. Finely chased. In very good condition. At the front of one sphinx there is a chipped piece of alabaster (see photo).
