Rocking chair made and designed by Micheal Thonet and Anton Fix, circa 1860. The beautiful rocking chair was made with the curved woodworking, a technique that sees the wood treated with steam to ensure the possibility of bending, and that has been tested and used mainly by Micheal Thonet. The rocking chair has a solid structure made entirely of wood in a golden colour, curved and harmonious lines, on the sides we find beautiful wood carvings. Its special feature is also the upholstery of the back, seat and armrests with burgundy fabric and the draping of two angels with a crown of flowers. The Anton Fix and Micheal Thonet chair was made before the popularity of the two artists, so it is a very rare piece indeed.
